The Lord Jesus Christ says in John 8:31,32:
"If you remain in My word...
You will know the truth.
and the truth will set you free."
When we look at all the wonderful ways for people to share ideas, express themselves and to interact the whole realm of communication is best described as "Awesome."
The main way to communicate is through words. Yes, we have pictures...and there is music...we may communicate through touch and odors. The sharing of ideas, however, is through words and the letters that make them.
In the quietness of lone time, Jesus communicated with His heavenly Father and then caused His Holy Spirit to move men to write down the words that God intended for the purpose of sharing what he wanted us to know about him.
Primarily, God's Word is to be comnmunicated for understanding, so that all people may "come to know the truth" and be saved.
As the great communicator, God wants to be understood. He especially communicates through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Since the time of Christ, up to the present era, God's communication continues through the written word as it is read and spoken. In this way God the Communicator also clearly speaks through the work of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good work.)(KJV).
This is why every aspect of our worship service uses parts of the Word of God to communicate what it is that God wants us to know for our daily living. You're welcome to join us if you are able, otherwise you may go to our web page to read and hear and see how this communication of God's Word takes place. www.emmanuelhudson.com
