Yesterday I was with the worship committee from our church planning ahead to the late fall and early winter seasons. As I was studying this morning I came upon the following passage: 1Co 16:6 Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.
The Apostle Paul was thinking ahead, planning, and charting his course of action for the future. A lot of that is going on these days. The return to classrooms, relocation for job situations, and the way we'll give expression to our faith and love for Jesus. Exciting, challenging, and at the same time peaceful.
Get your calendar out and do some planning. Remember to mark off time for worship and prayerful meditation. Don't forget to take Jesus along as you resort to the solitude of your mind.
Now this is peaceful...
