Here's the most recent set of bobbins I've turned. My process is to use only domestic woods at this time. They're often beautifully grained and easily accessible without destroying something living.
They're from cherry wood I received from a friend. He had had to cut the tree down many years ago and the piece he gave me was just sitting in his garage. It comes from a woods near Nye, Wisconsin.
I spangled them with a woodsy theme in mind. They're 3.75" long x 3/8" without the spangles. I'm looking for lace makers at this time. If you can send me their names I'd appreciate it.
